Vipassana meditation involves concentration on the body or its sensations, or the present moment. This cultivates a deep awareness, insight, and mindfulness which permeates our daily lives, as well as the time we spend in seated meditation. Vipassana (Mindfulness) does not use a mantra, but rather uses the breath as the pathway to the moment. No matter what we are doing, our breath is always with us. It may sound easy, but it has been said that remembering to focus on one's breath is akin to taming a wild elephant.
